This pop up card was inspired by the LOVE sculpture in Philadelphia and a very fancy version at The Singing Tree. I wanted to see what it would look like with a completely different font. I tried tipping the letter O 45° like it is on the sculpture but it looked awkward, so I left it upright.
The LOVE font is stomp zackman. The heart is from the dingbat font Sexy Rexy Smitten.
How to make a LOVE pop up card
Download file: PDF or DXF pg1 and DXF pg2.
Cut the two pages from contrasting colors of card stock. (Picture below is page one only.)
Crease on the scored lines, and fold the card like a simple box or window pop up.
Glue letters to shadows.
Fold backing card in half.
Glue cut card into backing card, aligning center folds.
Shown below is the glue on the back of the lettered half of the card.
Shown below is the glue on the back of the heart half of the card.
Glue details (swirls and smaller heart) into the cutouts of the heart on the inside of the card.
Use the loose heart to decorate the front of your card if you like.
