Easter Egg Peek

I started thinking about doing an Easter Egg pop up. Rounded shapes are a real challenge to design because they need a straight fold somewhere. After fiddling a bit I came up with this prototype. For a while I worked on getting a bunny to jump out of the top, but it wasn't going anywhere. Then I thought, hey, how about cutting away the front and putting a picture on the inside? And put a stand on the bottom! I also have been itching to use the chalking technique from this book, Paper Crafting with Carol Duvall. So here's the working model so far. Oh dear, those vertical yellow lines look like the egg is stinky! Good thing I still have a couple weeks to work on it!
